Some of the images featured here on All's Fair will be part of a group exhibition at The Hagedorn Foundation Gallery, called Home: A Spring Group Show, opening this Wednesay. I'm pleased to be in the company of Beth Lilly, Stephanie Dowda, Tobia Makover, Susan Harbage Page, and Meryl Truett. I hope all my Atlanta friends can stop by the opening on March 2 from 6-8 PM. The exhibition will be still be hanging during the Society for Photographic Education national conference here in Atlanta the second weekend in March, so out-of-town friends and colleagues can visit as well.
Taking pictures is often like waking up in the middle of the night from a fantastic dream and trying to write it all down before the experience fades – the complexity and beauty of the dream diminishing as the words hit the pages of the little notebook on the nightstand. The glances keep coming and there is always more to get down on paper before the light slips away. All's Fair is about the pleasure of seeing at home and abroad.
